Join us on Thursday, October 16 at Arcweb’s offices in Old City for a spirited, transcontinental QA session with renowned UK-based DPM, Sam Barnes. It's going to be late for Sam (11:30pm) so doors open at 6pm and we will get started promptly at 6:30pm.

Sam is uniquely positioned as an experienced practitioner in a diverse range of DPM topics. He has made the transition from one web discipline to another (front-end developer turned DPM), has experience in both agile and waterfall management styles (Sam is a certified Scrum Product Owner), and at the Digital PM Summit in Austin, TX, will be speaking on the topic of crafting your management style to individual personalities.
About Sam
Sam is the Development Team Manager at Global Personals and primarily works on the company’s multi-award winning platform White Label Dating™ - a platform that powers over 14,000 international online dating sites for 35 million members with a new member joining every 3 seconds.
After receiving his degree in Web and e-Business Computing, Sam spent 2 years as a front-end developer before moving into digital project management at various digital agencies in the UK. Over the following years Sam delivered digital projects of all sizes for clients including Nokia, Dell, Zebra, BBC and Oracle before his 2 years as a Digital Project Manager at Global Personals.
Sam is a Certified Scrum Product Owner, has written for Smashing Magazine, Think Vitamin and this year was published in the Gower Handbook of People in Project Management. He can also be found posting articles at thesambarnes.com, a blog dedicated to the topic of digital project management.
